2020 has been a tough year. With so many of our plans having to be cancelled and raised levels of anxiety, a practice of self care for most of us has gone out of the window.

I have decided to bring together some of my favourite practitioners in the wellness industry to offer the experience of a yoga retreat in special one day events.

You have made it through the lockdown, home schooling and school holidays, now it’s time to re-energise yourself in luxury surroundings on your doorstep.

We had such a beautiful response from our first three sold out events in September and October and as requested have created new nourishing and soulful Wellness Day Retreats for you. Bringing in experts in functional medicine, Ayurvada, nutrition, meditation, yoga and much more, we are so excited to invite you to join us in the sunniest place in the country.

We feel honoured to have been invited to hold a retreat at the stunning Gildredge Manor - one of Eastbourne’s most prestigious Grade II listed buildings.

Come and enjoy this beautiful building situated within Gildredge park and only a five minute drive from the seaside. (The sea is a lovely temperature for swimming. Cool water dips are great for circulations and your mental health).

Saturday 14th November 2020:

9.30am - Arrival and Welcome Turmeric Latte

10.00am - Ayurveda and Yoga workshop. Join Sarah on journey of the body working with the elements and ancient Ayurvedic practices.

11.30am - Cooking with Lotte. Our amazing vegan chef will introduce and share beautiful warming seasonal ingredients and recipes perfect for body in these colder months. Get ready for your tastebuds to have a party and your bellies to be warmed.

12.30 pm – Vegan Lunch

1.30pm - Prompted By Nature. Join podcaster and Meditation Teach Helen Forester. As she guides us in a nourishing meditation and journaling workshop.

3.00pm -- Raw Vegan Cake Break

3.30pm– 4.30pm Nourish and Flow Yoga with Sarah Alice

4.30pm - 5.00pm Closing session and virtual hugs

Meet the Team

Sarah Alice Lee

I’ve been practicing yoga since I was a teenager and have been teaching since 2015. After experiencing two major earthquakes and thousands of aftershocks when I lived in Christchurch New Zealand my nervous system was a mess. It was yoga that bought me back to from being a zombie in survival mode to living a full life again. After that I knew I wanted to teach and share how this practice has the ability to balance both the body and the mind.

My vinyasa style is playful and strong and suited for all levels. My sequences are inspired by my Blissology training where connecting to nature and finding joy in movement to a some awesome playlists are paramount.

I do have a more serious zen side that you will see with my Yin classes. I love to geek out on anatomy, and guide this practice from both an eastern and western medicine approach.

I will be hosting the retreat days.

Ayurvadic inspired cooking with Lotte

Lotte has been a private chef for ten years. She specialises in healthy, seasonal and unfussy cooking, celebrating fresh and local produce. Lotte also benefits from a qualification in food nutrition adding to her understanding of the need for good quality foods. Food is the fuel for the body and as such Lottes ethos is natural and unprocessed as possible is best.

Francesca Yogini

Francesca is 200hr Yoga Teacher who specialises in working with essential oils.

As a trained wellness she understands about the healing benefits of the oils and loves to share about all the ways they can transform your health:

“A sense of smell can elicit powerful physiological, mental, and emotional responses, meaning essential oils can be used to lift spirits or calm a mood simply by placing one or two drops in the diffuser.

Topical application allows the oils to be absorbed by the skin, alleviating aches and pains.

And, as well as making many recipes (like my yummy vegan chocolates) taste delicious, there’s also huge benefits to ingesting oils too – with many natural plants having so many healing benefits.

I use essential oils in all of my yoga classes, in my cooking, massage and generally anywhere I can in my day to day life, and I certainly recognise the benefits.”

Cacao Ceremony with Sarah Campbell Lloyd

Founder of Yard Yoga, Sarah is well known for inviting students to come and ‘try’ and for creating enthusiasm and motivation to enjoy yoga and all its amazing benefits.

We are so thrilled that she will lead us in a sacred Cacao Ceremony.

Claire Russell Burns - Womans Health

Claire Russell Burns is joining us in January to guide us in yoga and movement to support women’s wellbeing physically, mentally and emotionally and give an introduction to ‘Restore Your Core’. The Restore Your Core method is designed to retrain your pelvic floor muscles to be functional, reflexive responsive and supportive to your body. packed full of education for pelvic floor and core health.

Nidra Restore with Helen Moss

We are so excited to welcome Helen who specialises in teaching yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga.

Expert Nutrition by Uta

Uta is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist (BANT Registered Nutritionist ®, rCNHC) and Wellness Expert. She is passionate about guiding her clients on their health and fitness journeys by creating bespoke nutrition plans and providing personalised advice and support. Uta has combined her interests in food and science with her drive to help others to create a thriving practice.

Uta has recently joined Spirit of Hemp as an in-house nutritional therapist where she provides their clients with both nutritional advice and recommendations on getting the most out of using their CBD products.

Flower Essence Therapy Workshop

In the event of Covid regulation changes where the retreat must be cancelled, please know that you will receive a full refund.

Cancellation Policy:

  • In the event that we (the event organisers and venue) are required to cancel due to Covid 19 restrictions you will receive a full refund.

  • If you need to cancel for any other reason we will give a full refund if we have a waiting list and your space can be filled. We will do our very best to re-sell you spot.

    If we are unable to do this the following conditions apply:

  • If you cancel 14 days prior to the event you will receive 50% refund.

  • If you cancel 7 days before the event you will receive a 25% refund

  • Cancellation with less than 7 days is non refundable.
